If a student chooses not to meet the expectations the
following will occur:
Any serious violations of the school policy are referred to the administration. The goal is to provide a continuous positive learning environment for all students.
Textbooks: Resource
Books and materials utilized by the teacher.
Supplemental Material:
Supplies: Make sure your child has a Binder to place section dividers for each core subject .A pen/pencil bag that can fit into your Binder. Pencils and pens that are blue or black ink. Loose-leaf paper and colored pencils. These items will be used for the all classes.
Homework
Policy:
Students are given ample time to complete H.W. due to the A/B scheduling. If a student doesn’t turn in the assignment on the due date they will get 50% credit if it is turned in the next day. We review H.W. in each class so it is critical that they have it for class. If a student is excused for an absence the school absence policy applies in those cases.
Make-Up Work Policy:
When a student is absent one day from class they are allowed to have ready by the next class. I f they are absent more than one day arrangements can be made to assist that student.
Continuous
School Progress:
All students will improve their written communication skills across the curriculum. The 6 traits +1 is the model selected to improve school-wide writing in all subjects’ areas. The 6Traits +1 writing framework is a powerful way to learn and use a common language to refer to characteristics of writing as well as establishing a common vision of what “strong” writing looks like. Teachers and students will use the 6 +1 Trait model to identify areas of strength and weakness as they continue to strive towards writing improvement. Creative Thinking 7/ Study Skills teaches the writing process using this model in a variety of activities throughout the year.
